The Board of Directors of the Ismailia Chamber of Commerce, headed by Eng. Ahmed Othman, held a meeting today, Wednesday, with the Board of Directors of Omar Effendi headed by Amal Dawaba, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors for a Sector for Economic Affairs, and the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce included Ibrahim Khamira, Vice Chairman of the Board, Jalal Abu Al-Taher, Secretary of the Council, and Abdullah Khudair Treasurer, Ihab Dhahdi, Assistant Treasurer, Mr. Al-Kursali, Member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the People’s Committee, Baraka, Board Member, and Mohamed El-Sayed, Chamber’s General Director.
Omar Effendi's board of directors presented a new proposal to the board of directors that includes developing the section of Omar Effendi, leaving more space for the Chamber of Commerce to be used for serving merchants, in addition to new conditions for rent, noting that the ownership of the building belongs to the Chamber of Commerce in Ismailia.
The members of the Board of Directors decided to study the offer to put a final vision on the form of the contract in the event that the Chamber members agree to the offer submitted by Omar Effendi's Board of Directors.
It is reported that the Chamber of Commerce obtained a court ruling to acquire the entire building.
